    Summary

Over the past 20 years we have seen the auto insurance industry move away from using medical professionals in the settlement process, replacing them with claims management software programs that use a formula to calculate settlement offers. Class action lawsuits and former insurance adjusters have helped uncover what 'rules' those software programs follow to determine your client's initial settlement offer.

Mike Schafer will take you behind the curtain to see how these programs work. You may find, as he has, that the process can be fair when you know the rules. Mike will give you an overview of these settlement offer programs and what information he considers to be important (Hint: is the injury permanent or not?) and look at an actual case study from start to finish.
