Debra Bogaards (Chair) is a trial attorney and mediator with Bogaards Law. As of January of 2019, she is 100% plaintiff’s personal injury, employment, elder abuse and tenants’ right attorney and she opened her own mediation practice. She is a reformed insurance
defense lawyer, having managed two partnerships; Pave & Bogaards and Bogaards Davis from 1994 to 2017 as well as working as an associate for Allswang Smith & Walsh from 1990 to 1994. At all three firms, she represented State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company and State Farm Fire & Casualty as well as Mercury. Before that, she worked for other firms in insurance
defense with a stint in coverage from 1986 to 1989. She has 37 jury trials for the defense and
one court trial for a plaintiff’s employment case, that she co-tried with her husband, Pieter
Vadim Nebuchin is an associate at Callaway and Wolf. He is highly experienced in litigating
difficult and complex cases against major insurance companies, which has led to an
exceptional record of success for our clients. Prior to joining Callaway and Wolf, he spent 15 years on the defense side working for one of the nation’s major insurance carriers. Vadim
understands the intricacies of insurance companies in a way that few do, having managed a team of insurance adjusters and defended personal injury lawsuits. His insight into how defense attorneys handle personal injury cases helps us maximize our clients’ recoveries.
Brendan Way has over 14 years of hands on litigation experience as an attorney, law clerk, trial paralegal and legal intern and two and a half years in tech competitive & market research analysis. Academic focus on intellectual property, antitrust and international law.
Annie Wu has represented clients both on the plaintiff and defense side in civil litigation

multi-million dollar claims. Before joining The Veen Firm, Ms. Wu represented corporate clients in toxic torts and products liability litigation. Her practice also includes premises liability,
commercial transportation and trucking law, construction accidents and medical malpractice.
