Speakers

Sandra Ribera Speed, Esq. (Moderator) is a San Francisco-based attorney whose firm, Ribera Law Firm, focuses on representing plaintiffs in personal injury and employment matters. Ribera Law Firm has been part of the litigation team that represented Katherine Jackson and Michael Jackson's three children in their wrongful death action against the worldwide sporting and music entertainment company, AEG Live. Currently, Ms. Speed and her legal team at Ribera Law Firm are handling several personal injury cases against porn giants, Kink.com.

Karman Guadagni is the managing associate at Stebner and Associates, a law firm specialzing in elder abuse and neglect cases. Ms. Guadagni focuses primarily on institutional elder absue litigation, with an emphasis on lititgating neglect and physcial abuse cases, including sexual abuse cases, against nursing homes and residential care facilities for the elderly. She has achieved successful results for plaintiffs in trial, arbitration and mediations throughout California. In 2015, 2016 and 2017, Ms. Guadagni was selected as a Rising Star among California's Super Lawyers and is a frequent speaker on elder abuse issues. In 2015 and 2016, she was a guest professor at Stanford Law School and has had articlesappear in various legal publications. Ms. Guadagni received her JD from UC Hastings College of the Law in 2009.

Mark Miyasaki is an associate at the firm of Bohbot & Riles in Oakland, where he practices employment law. He primarily represents employees in wrongful termination and fiscrimination cases. Mark started at Bohbot & Riles during law school as an intern in 2012 abd was eventually hired as the firm's first associate in 2015. Mark is a member of the California Employment Lawyers Association (CELA), Alameda County Bar Association (ACBA), and Bay Are Lawyers for Individual Freedom (BALIF). Mark also serves on the Board of Directors for the non-profit, SEEDS Community Resolution Center, in Berkeley. Mark received both his JD and MBA from Golden Gate University and his BA in European History from UC Santa Cruz.

Kimberly Wong is an attorney at The Veen Firm, P.C. in San Francisco. She litigates complex catasrophic personal injury cases involving negligence, premises liability, wrongful death, products liability, industrial injuries, and exceptions to the workers compensation exclusive remedy doctrine. Ms. Wong is a frequent lecturer and author of published articles on various topics related to personal injury litigation, including third-party liability claims arising from wrplace injuries. She has had several settlements featured in The Recorder's annual report of "California's Million-Dollar Settlements." Ms. Wong has also been selected by her peers to for the Northern California Superior Lawyers Rising Star list each year from 2012 to present.
